About the Society

Our Journey Towards a Pollution-Free Yamuna

The Yamuna Enroachment Eradication Committee is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to protecting and restoring the Yamuna River. Formed by passionate environmentalists and local citizens, the Society works actively to remove illegal encroachments, prevent pollution, and revive the river’s natural ecosystem.

Our mission is to bring people, government, and communities together to safeguard the Yamuna’s floodplains through legal action, awareness campaigns, and sustainable development programs. We believe that saving the Yamuna is not just an environmental duty but a moral responsibility for future generations.

The Society operates from Delhi, focusing on areas like Azadpur and Jamia Millia Islamia, while expanding efforts to other regions connected with the river.

Our Key
Objectives

Our NGO aims to protect and revive the Yamuna River by removing illegal encroachments and preventing further damage to its floodplains. We work to make the river pollution-free through awareness drives, waste management, and sustainable development programs. Our focus is on restoring the natural flow of the river, planting trees along its banks, and creating green zones for better water retention. We also educate local communities, especially youth and farmers, about the importance of river conservation. By collaborating with government bodies and environmental experts, we ensure strict action against polluters. Our goal is to build a clean, safe, and living Yamuna for future generations.
