About NGO

From Pollution to Purity — One River, One Mission.

The Yamuna Enroachment Eradication Committee (Y.E.E.C.) is a non-governmental organization committed to protecting and restoring the Yamuna River. Under the guidance of Ranjeet Kr. Ray, the organization works tirelessly to remove illegal encroachments, stop pollution, and bring people together to save one of Delhi’s most vital lifelines.

We believe that the Yamuna River is not just a water body, but the cultural and emotional soul of Delhi. Sadly, for decades it has suffered from pollution, plastic dumping, and unauthorized constructions. With strong leadership and community support, we are determined to bring the river back to life.

What We Do

Encroachment Eradication:
We identify and report illegal constructions and dumping sites across the Yamuna floodplains. Legal complaints are filed, and follow-up actions are taken to ensure removal and restoration.

Clean-Up Drives:
With the support of hundreds of volunteers, Y.E.E.C. conducts large-scale cleaning campaigns to remove waste, debris, and pollutants from the riverbanks.

Public Awareness:
Our awareness programs in schools, communities, and social media inspire people to act responsibly towards river conservation.

Collaboration and Advocacy:
We work in coordination with local authorities, environmental agencies, and residents to push for strict action against polluters and encroachers.
